SOUTH Program 001

Full Day Tour: Pottery, Cultural, Caving & Nature Tours – SOUTH MADANG

·         07:45 Tour begins (pick up at your hotel accommodation)

·         South coast: Nettai Butterfly Garden

·         South coast: Bilbil Pottery demonstration & artifact display or visit local mini museum

·         South coast: Balek Sulfuric Creek with welcoming tortoise & eels

·         South coast: Harwagan Cave & Mythical pool (bring pair of clothes for chance to swim)

·         South coast: Hobe village welcome cultural dance and performance

·         South coast: Hobe village exotic orchids & botanical gardens with mini-forest walk to the Japanese historical hideout

·         Lunch pack provided or village refreshment at Hobe Village

·         16:00 Return to Madang town

·         Visit Divine Word University for the afternoon or Madang Resort Carvers hut & Sanctuary-(OPTIONAL)K 740                    K 610                     K410                      K370

SOUTH Program 002

Half-Day Tour: Pottery and Nature Tours

·         07:45 Tour begins

·         South coast: Nettai Butterfly Garden

·         South coast: Bilbil  Clay Pots & Pottery – see the display and demonstration of making of pottery with other artifact display

·         South coast: Balek Sulfuric Creek with welcoming tortoise & eels

·         South coast: Hobe village –  orchids & botanical gardens, mini-forest walk to the Japanese historical hide out

·         Lunch pack provided

·         12:00 Return to Madang town

NOTE:

-          Similar to the first itinerary (SOUTH Program 001) but excludes Cultural and Caving tours

-          No need to bring extra clothing as this tour does not include a chance for a swim

SOUTH Program 003

Half-Day Tour: Nature, Caving and Cultural tour (excluding Pottery)

·         07:45 Tour begins

·         South coast: Nettai Butterfly Garden

·         South coast: Balek Sulfuric Creek with welcoming tortoise & eels

·         South coast: Harwagan Cave & Mythical pool (bring pair of clothes for chance to swim)

·         South coast: Hobe village – Cultural experience, orchids & botanical gardens, mini-forest walk

·         Local lunch refreshment

·         12:00 Return to Madang town

Note:

·         Similar to the second itinerary (SOUTH Program 002) but excludes Pottery

·         This tour may include a chance for a swim, so do bring a pair of clothes

 

NORTH Program 004

Full-Day Tour: Town-North Coast (Eco-tour) – NORTH MADANG

·         07:45 Tour begins

·         Town: Madang Resort Carvers Hut & Sanctuary

·         Town: Coat Watchers Light House

·         Town: Coronation Drive Scenic view

·         Town-centre: Flying fox colony

·         Town market: (fresh vegetables & handicrafts)

·         North coast: Scenic drive

·         North coast: Alexishafen Catholic Mission

·         North coast: Colonial cemetery

·         North coast: Wargidan Village, Rempi for seaside island view and take photos – possible chance for snorkeling or traditional canoeing experience )

·         North coast: Kau Wild Life Management Area for bird viewing or just take a stroll in the tropical forest

(Lunch pack provided)

·         17:00 Return in time to view nightly flying fox migration (Visit Divine Word University to view the flying fox colony at a pikus tree, near Friendship Library– OPTIONAL)

NB: Other adventurous, village, and island tours can be arranged in Madang upon request if booked a month in advance or to Goroka, Eastern Highlands province to witness the Asaro Mudmen at Hausilaro Cultural Centre.
